C46914 Summary1New Hampshire’s argument on tiny homes

Local zoning officials in the town of Peterborough, New Hampshire ordered eviction of all the community’s residents on December 15. The reason is that the village owner ‘s proposal of adding more units reminded the planting officials that tiny houses here were not permitted as full-time residences because of the building code violations. There is another example. Tiny-house owner Brianna O’Brien on the state could not live in her house for a lack of the occupancy permit that is required for full-time residences. In the meanwhile,Former Walden tenants are suing the village’s owner, claiming he violated their leases by renting out homes that were not up to code.

New Hampshire’s argument on tiny homes has attracted attention of lawmakers , thus making state legislators introduced a bill that would have required local governments to allow tiny houses on residential plots. However, this bill failed to come to effect.

Tiny houses do offer an economizing for residents but often violate local zoning boards, which requires appropriate regulatory pursuit giving consideration to both sides.
