It rained this morning, my boy liked to wear the boots and bring the umbrella. During the way to school, we went through lots of things, like waiting for a long long line on the metro security check, and when we got to the TangKeng station, Melon wanted to go to the wash room, after we got off the metro, it was still raining, so I couldn’t ride my bike, we needed to take a taxi, and it took us about 25 minutes to catch a vacant taxi. To be honest, I was very anxious during the way. I was afraid I would affect Melon’s, luckily, he was ok with that situation. I kept talk to myself, change what I can change, accept what I can’t change.
During the metro time, Melon didn’t read the books, so I just chose the 《David goes to school》and read by myself. This book was written by David Shannon. By the time I saw the cover, I guessed the naughty boy who was playing the paper plane should be David. On the 1st page, David’s teacher always said, NO DAVID! NO YELLING NO PUSHING NO RUNNING IN THE HALLS. I guessed that was what David often did. David also did lots other things which would disturb the others, so the teacher just kept saying “sit down David”、”Don’t chew gum in class”、”David raise ur hand”、”keep ur hands to urself”、”pay attention”、”wait for ur turn, David!”、”I don’t care who started it”、”David! Recess is over”、”Shhhhh”、”Again!”. So the result was David would stay after school. The end was the art of life, no matter u are a teacher or the parents, what we need to do is to find the kids’ merits. David just made the whole class shining clean, the teacher admitted his job by saying “Good job David!” and also gave him a star as a bonus. I can see David’s face full of happiness that he could do something useful for the others. That’s maybe a very important seed grow in kids’ heart for the whole life.
After finish reading this book, I learned some expressions to lead the kids behave properly. The parents’ expression may affect the kid’s character for his life.
