BEIJING-CanadahasdecidedtoapplyformembershipoftheAsianInfrastructureInvestmentBank(AIIB),CanadianFinanceMinisterBillMorneauannouncedatapressconferenceinBeijing on Wednesday.
加拿大财政部长Bill周三在北京一个新闻记者会上宣布，加拿大已经决定成为亚洲基础设施投资银行（以下简称亚投行）成员；
IfCanadajoinstheAIIB,itwillbethefirstNorthAmericanmemberofthemultilateralbank.
如果加拿大加入亚投行，将是这个多边银行的第一个北美成员；
Canada'smembershipwillcontributesignificantlytothebank'sdevelopment,AIIBpresidentJinLiquntoldthepressconference,notingthatallcountriesinterestedintheAIIBwerewelcometo applyformembership.
亚投行主席金立群在记者会上表示，加拿大成员将对银行的发展有着积极的贡献，已经注意到所有对亚投行感兴趣的国家，欢迎他们申请成为成员；
"ThedecisionofCanadatoapplytojoinAIIBisverywelcomeandshowsitsconfidenceinthe strongfoundationsthebankhasbuiltinourfirstfewmonths,"Jinsaid.
金表示：加拿大申请加入亚投行的决定是很受欢迎的，表明它在最初的几个月建立坚实基础之后的自信；
Inapressrelease,Canada'sDepartmentofFinancesaidtheAIIBwillhelpsustaingrowthinAsia andrepresentsanopportunityforCanadatofurtherengageinmultilateralinfrastructureefforts thatsupportinclusiveeconomicgrowthinAsiaandbeyond.
在记者会上，加拿大财政部门表示亚投行将帮助稳定亚洲的增长，为加拿大努力进一步参与多边基础设施提供了机会，能够为亚洲及其他区域提供包括经济增长的支持；
"Canadaisalwayslookingforwaystocreatehopeandopportunityforourmiddleclassaswell asforpeoplearoundtheworld,andmembershipintheAIIBisanopportunitytodojustthat,"Morneausaid.
Morneau表示加拿大一直和全世界人民一样，寻找着为中产阶级创造希望和机会的方式，作为亚投行的成员就是实现这样的一个机会；
TheAIIB,anot-for-profitbankinitiatedbyChina,wasofficiallyestablishedlastDecemberand startedoperatinginJanuary.
亚投行，由中国发起的非盈利银行，去年12月正式建立，1月开始运营；
Withauthorizedcapitalof$100billionand57foundingmembers,itprioritizesinvestmentin energy,power,transport,ruralinfrastructure,environmentalprotectionandlogistics.
拥有着法定资本1000亿美元和57个创始成员，优先投资能源、交通、农村基本建设、环境保护和物流；
ChinaisnowCanada'ssecondlargesttradingpartner.Thetradebetweenthetwocountries amountedtoover$67billionin2015,a10.1percentincreaseyearonyear,accordingto Canadianstatistics.
根据加拿大数据统计，中国现在是加拿大第二大贸易伙伴，2015年两国之间的贸易总量超过了670亿美元，与去年同期相比增长了10.1个百分点。
