In her book,I know that the history of earth is a history of interaction between life and the living environment.However, with the invention and use of DDT, some bad things happened.
At first,the pollution of water,the enervation of soil,the destruction of wildlife,the harm to animal welfare and the threat to human health caused by modern industrial agriculture were found by few ecologists.Then, the examples of mass use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides do harm to plants and animals were more than a warning.
Our planet has not become better because of the use of chemicals.Many birds disappeared because there are no inserts to eat,many flowers faded because of declining soil fertility.
I remember one Michael Jackson's song《Earth Song》.In it,I can hear the heartbreak of this singer and the earth.Maybe a flower or a tree is waiting for a spring in this autumn.
