-Easter Bunny ‘s Basket
At end of the dayshift , I realized that today is Easter Good Friday. In my way to picked up my little five years old girl from daycare, I was busy thinking what I am going to do to celebrate this traditional holiday of United States of America , with my little one.
I thought it was a good reason to go to a nice place to have a formal dinner. So we went a nearby Golden Garden Italian restaurant. We had salad with chicken tortilla as main dishes, even ordered a glass of my daughter’s favorite strawberry mixer for each of us.
After dinner, we stopped by Target store, picked up a big white and rosy pink striped basket , and green non-real grasses, and many kinds of eggs: colorful plastic eggs, fancy painted eggs, chocolate eggs, big one, and small one. Also got a big Bunny Rabbit. Since the eggs were on sale, we bought two dozen of eggs, and colors.
We had great time to decorating this Easter basket, it’s easy to cook and color the eggs, it’s taken a little efforts to put the beautiful plastic cover, covers the eggs. But, finally we did it! We gave each other a big five.
And then my daughter asked me cheerfully:
“Let’s go and find the other one!”
“Which one?” I was blanked. A not very pleasant feeling starting to raise.
“Remember? The Easter Bunny basket ?!”
“But, we just made the Easter basket!”
“No! Not this one, it’s the OTHER one . The one Easter Bunny brings to me.” She insists and wants me to help to search inside out of house.
“Maybe he forgot, there’s so many kids were waiting for the basket...that’s why we have to make one.”
Her little face turned sad, she tried to holds back her tears: “ I’m a good girl, I was good all along, how could he forgot me?”
“I was looking foreword all day today.” She finally sobs, twist her little fingers
I felt that my heart was dropping,:
humpty and dumpty had great falls,
all the king’s man and King’s army,
cannot put them together .
“ Maybe it’s on it’s way to come, maybe tomorrow morning, when you wake up, the first thing you will see is a beautiful basket, sent by the Easter Bunny.”

节日是属于孩子的，做父母的挖空心思地营造着一个家庭的节日氛围，可是不管怎样去做，似乎都无法尽善尽美。也许正因为它不完美，所以才更加让人抱憾，让人记忆犹深。
