Running Regime

Just as Chesterton once said, “One may understand the cosmos, but never the ego, the self is more distant than any star”, life is a journey full of discovery. The best way to discover ourselves still remains controversial. Anyway, vigorous campus life is like a magic wand,  encountering stranger and challenges is like waving a wand, letting us to think deeply and in return we discover more of ourselves. When it comes to me, running is the best way to discover my problems in college.

One may understand the cosmos, but never the ego, the self is more distant than any star.

I sank myself into the busy ocean, like a fish swimming very fast without knowing where to go.

Campus life in the beginning was burdensome; therefore, running have become the way of releasing pressure. Unlike most teenagers, independence is in my blood. Whereas, it also makes me greedy. Every diverting activities enticed me strongly but I did not have a doppelganger. I sank myself into the busy ocean, like a fish swimming very fast without knowing where to go. Apparently, running put an end to it. Both tears and sweat are salty, but they render a different result: Tears gets me sympathy while sweat gets me change.

I sank myself floating in the busy ocean, like a fish swimming very fast without knowing where to go.

The beauty of running is that it gives me time to introspect. I run around campus in the evening, with sports shoes and music on, from Monday to Friday, from September to December. Fortunately, I witnessed a different ECNU, which is just the opposite to its day pattern, deep in silence and thought. I realize that no matter who you are everyone must handle the bleak and lonely time. What annoyed me most was that I conducted things I hate most. I skipped out quite a lot of courses last term, but complained about nowhere to study. Though I still got high marks, the days I wasted will never cheat me, just like the running distance I covered. Appreciate each step; forget the rest. Appreciate each class; forget the rest.

Appreciate each step; forget the rest. Appreciate each class; forget the rest.

Running wildly means living better in campus on any given day. Each fall I took makes me stronger when I get back up on my feet again and each mistake I made makes me a deeper thinker. Maybe tomorrow, I will run longer than today.
