#What does the section say?
In this part, haw realized that his had changed his old beliefs. He used to think that changes was not right and cheese shouldn’t been moved. He used to be so afraid of failure that he didn’t have enough courage to leave station C. Now he realized that change always happens. And change was beneficial to him. After he leaved station C, he found new cheese to keep him moving on although he hadn’t find new cheese station. Therefore, he understood that old beliefs can’t lead him to new cheese. When you believe that change is evil and harmful for you, you will never choose to change, but if you choose to believe that change is beneficial and good to you, you will embrace change and be successful in the end.
#What does the section mean for you? Give a story from your life.
This part is very brilliant although it’s very short. In this part, haw realized his changes and he changed his beliefs and behavior totally. In former section, although haw leaved the station C and moved in the maze, he was still afraid of darkness and change. However, now he totally changed it. The sentence in the novel really strike me that: “when you change what you believe, you change what you do”. many people who come across failure will think it is failure that chooses them. But i think it is they that choose the failure. They choose to believe change isn’t right and success will come close to them. It means they choose to believe old things but success belongs to new things. So they fail.
And I will give my story as an example.
In one competition, our group is very near to failure and time is running out. It really made us feel sad because we were very hard working. Some group members were exhausted and going to give up. But i didn’t think so, I believe that we will be successful in the end and I encouraged everyone to cheer up. In the end, we made it and miracle happens. Beliefs is such a strong weapon that it can build up a city or destroy one’s confidence.
