The graph shows the global average sea level rise from 1997 to 2005, in millimeters, every other year. Overall, the sea level has been rising steadily over the past 8 years, and since 1999, the rise has been significant. In 1997, the increase was about 4 millimeters. Until 1999, the global sea level rise was very small, about 5 millimeters. But since 2000, the rate of sea level rise has greatly increased. By 2003, the annual growth rate reached 20 mm. In the remaining two years, global sea level has risen sharply to nearly 7 mm, reaching 28 mm in 2005.（101 words）
