I always have a point of view that renewables have tremendous impact on our lives, not only can they alleviate the climate change, but they are intermittent so that fossile fuels and nuclear energy will not be used in the future
This passage provided me with a lot of new perspectives.For example,the electricity industry is structured around marginal costs. The clean energy like solar and wind has low marginal costs so that the costs will be falling, thus improving its competitiveness in the markets. However, the electricity industry will therefore be influenced, because it can make revenue from the customers. A vicious circle is concequently generated, hindering the further investments in clean energy.
According to another passage , it is essentially about the pricing system of electricity. The policy-makers should consider the situations in the long run, though the short-term situation has some restraints.
From another perspective, the technologies are improving to solve the problem of the vicious circle. There is still a long way to go
