One day, Mr. White and his son James went to a kite festival. In the park, a lot of people were flying kites. When James saw many different kinds of kites, he was really happy and he bought a beautiful kite in a shop.
With his father's help, James started to fly the kite. Soon, the kite was high up and then stayed in the sky for several minutes. James said, "Dad, it seems that the string(线) is keeping the kite from flying higher. If we cut it, I think it will be free and fly much higher. Can we cut it?" The father didn’t reply, but just cut the string off the reel(线轴). Suddenly, the kite began to go higher, which made the son much happier.
However, surprisingly, the kite was coming down. At last, the kite fell onto the grass. James felt upset and asked, "I thought the kite would fly higher without the string. Why did it fall down?" The father smiled and began to explain, "The kite itself can't fly up in the sky. By using the string, we can be in control of the kite. When we cut the string, it can not support(支持) the kite anymore."
In our life, sometimes there are some things stopping us from growing. But in fact, they might support us the most. We can really grow up and become stronger after we know the importance of them. So, just face them and enjoy!
