And compared with those who study English in domestic universities, overseas students usually enjoy strength in spoken English. Secondly, overseas studying experiences help them to be more familiar with foreigners' thoughts and ideologies, contributing to their fast adaptation to international atmosphere. Some of them even can bring overseas resources such as human power and information back to the enterprises. Thirdly, Their overseas certificates appear more advanced and can gain face when being introduced by the bosses since in China an issue of face is quite significant.
While some other enterprises may not think so. In their opinion, with the development of internet and globalization, it's quite easy for people to learn and get the same skills without studying overseas. They can choose to study at the online school, improve spoken English online, or even go travelling in foreign countries. Besides, enterprises can distinguish students well when recruiting them at home, but have challenges when recruiting overseas students since HRs are not quite familiar with foreign education system and universities. Moreover, Chinese university students know better about domestic situations and often get along well with collegues, while overseas students tend to be more westernized in dealing with people and things which sometimes could cause problems when socializing with Chiense collegues.
On the whole, every coin has two sides. It depends on the enterprise to determine which is their priority in recruitment. But with the deepen of globalization, overseas returnees become more common today and not as shiny as before. Especially in these days it's reported that many overseas returnees have difficulty finding a job at home and they can only earn an average salary each month even if they get a job. All this proves that no matter you are overseas students, domestic university students or even students who have never been in university, only the true skills are decisive winning factors, both professional ability and emotional intelliegence included.
