Dear school students:
From March 5 to 10, our school welcomed 10 exchange students from New Zealand. They were very kind and they learned some interesting skills from us during the colorful trip they had at our school. Let me tell you some details about this big event.
Their trip consists of two parts. The first part was enjoying wonderful Chinese culture from March 5 to 7. China is the homeland of tea, so we invited them to appreciate the tea serving etiquette. They thought a simple cup of tea brings about the sense of ancient Chinese culture. And we wanted to show our Chinese hospitality.
Kite is one of the well-known handicrafts of China. We made kites together. We painted silk on a bamboo frame. Each student made his or her own shapes and forms to show the dream in the future. Spring is the best season for flying kites in China. The kites fly, our hearts fly. And we also tell them the patterns on the kites imply auspiciousness and happiness, they thought it was amazing and wonderful.
The second part was going to some memorable places in our city from March 8 to 10. These good students first went to the National Museum of China because they wanted to have rich knowledge about China. They known modern China, ancient China and its recent history. They were studious students and they were very interested in Chinese history.
They also went to the Great Wall. The Great Wall is a military defense system in ancient China, it also has become the symbol of Chinese culture. We climbed it together and we finally got to the top. Everyone thought it is not only one of the great wonders of the world, but also looks like a dragon. These students said they had an amazing trip.
After this fantastic trip, there is a friendly relationship between the New Zealand students and ours. We are good friends now, and we will keep a good friendship in the future.
This was the big event about our school. Thanks for your reading!
Your dear principal,
