周兴和已经有好长时间没回家了，他的企业管理刚刚收到初步成效，新型产品试验刚刚露出一些成功的端倪，尽管他用极大的耐心作了很大的忍让，但家庭的矛盾还是不可遏制地总爆发了。

刘凤琼也在气头上，她坚持不走。周兴和向客人道了歉，把刘凤琼拉回了家里。回到家，刘凤琼依然不依不饶，像要把这些日子来积聚在心中的怨气全都发泄出来。周兴和脸色铁青一言不发，妻子这些日子来过分的举止，早就激起了他极度的反感和愤怒。当刘凤琼大吵大闹，上前要和周兴和抓扯时，周兴和心里的积怨也总的爆发了，他狠狠给了刘凤琼一拳——这一拳打得很重，刘凤琼当即就大声呻吟起来！

周兴和开办的建材厂旁边，是盐亭县烟草公司的仓库。仓库里有个管理员姓申——我们姑且就叫她小申吧。这时她刚满30岁，离异后带着一个小儿子生活。由于搞产品研究和生产，周兴和正好租用烟草公司院坝存放和晾晒产品。闲来无事时，小申怀着好奇心，经常去参观欣赏他们各种造型的产品。与此同时，她对成天沉默寡言搞研究、别人都说他是“狂人”的周兴和，也产生了好奇心，逐渐有了了解这个人的想法。

处于人生低谷的周兴和，他其实也希望有人能了解和理解自己。见有人想了解他，他满腹的苦衷，满心的哀怨，以及他的抱负和理想，也渐渐向小申吐露出来。小申呢，其实也不甘心于每天守着偌大的一个仓库，过着平淡枯燥的日子，也想能在自己人生中有一番作为。慢慢地，她对周兴和了解后，她和他就有了共同的语言。周兴和从心底里对小申能够对自己创业艰辛的理解感到安慰，对有一个能理解自己的人吐露心声而感到安慰；小申呢，对周兴和艰苦创业的经历和刻苦钻研精神感到钦佩，对他不幸的境遇表示了深深的同情——人与人之间有了共同的语言，难免就有了交往的基础，一来二往，两人都逐渐产生出一种说不出的感觉来。

一个小小的盐亭城，就连张家的婆婆和媳妇吵了架，李家的老丈人和女婿打了捶，不到半天就会传遍全城，何况两个男女之间的频频接触呢！周兴和与小申交往的事，时间不长，就有那好事者把事情传到了刘凤琼耳朵里。这还了得！原本就受到丈夫冷落的刘凤琼，这一下更是不依不饶了，在和周兴和大吵一架后，将他推出了门，并向他下了最后通牒：“有我无她，有她无我，我们干脆离婚！不离婚，我就用死来成全你们！”

在采访刘凤琼时，谈到两人离异的事，笔者明显感觉到，其实她对这件事的处理方式是有些后悔的。由此我就想到：有情人才成眷属，当初两人历尽艰辛走到了一起，就应当对这份来之不易的情份倍加呵护和珍惜。如果两人真的不想分手，不管是谁，当外面有风雨袭来时，他或她都不能把对方推出门外，而要想办法留在屋里。即使对方要出门，都应该给对方一把雨伞或一顶斗笠。这样，即使是在风雨袭来时，他或她就不会躲到别人屋檐下去避雨了呀！

在风雨中过了半年多时间的周兴和，经过无数个日夜痛苦的考虑：既然与刘凤琼志不同道不合，既然这婚姻已经名存实亡，既然自己完全无法将未竟的事业进行下去，那好，离就离吧！最后，周兴和只好孤注一掷，在离婚协议书上签下了自己的名字。

当周兴和一个人孤零零地躺在病床上，心力交瘁地思索着病愈后何去何从时，小申不避嫌疑请假来到了他的病床前，悉心照料周兴和。每当周兴和接过小申一杯水、一碗饭，他的心里都十分感动。同时，小申表示愿意辞去她的正式工作，以便背水一战，与周兴和白手起家，共同创业！
When Zhou Xinghe laid alone in the hospital bed, and mentally exhausted to think about what to do after recovered, Shen asked for leave from work and came to his hospital bed, and took good care of Zhou Xinghe. 事业上能有知音，工作中能有帮手，生活上能有伴侣，能够理解和支持他把未竟的发明创造进行下去，帮助他实现自己的人生抱负，这是周兴和多年来梦寐以求的一个夙愿啊！从医院出来后，为寻求一个较为宽松的从事研究和创业的环境，避开周围人们的闲言冷语，特别是避开刘凤琼的干扰，周兴和毅然怀揣一纸离婚书，身背数十万元的债务，分别和小申离开盐亭县，到了绵阳市，开始了他们新的生活，重新又在这里创业了。
To have a bosom friend in his career, a helper in his work and a partner in his life, who could be able to understand and support him in carrying on his unfinished inventions and help him realize his ambition in life, it was a long-cherished dream of Zhou Xinghe for many years! Out of the hospital, in order to seek a relaxed environment for the research and entrepreneurship, to avoid the gossip of people around the cruel word, especially to avoid Liu Fengqiong’s interference, Zhou Xinghe resolutely carried the divorce paper, with hundreds of thousands of debts, and left Yanting with Shen respectively, and started their new life and entrepreneurship in Mianyang City.
这是1994年的初春。这一年，周兴和已经到了不惑之年。
