In this lesson, we will be talking about the English sentence structure. You all know that the English sentences are ordered in a different way from Chinese, many Chinese people tend to use the Chinese word order to speak English, but it is really wrong and difficult to understand for others.
这节课我们来讲英文的句子结构。大家也都知道英语的句子顺序跟中文是不太一样的，很多中国人习惯用中文的句子顺序来说英语，但是这样说真的不对而且别人很难懂哦～
Independent clause -- stands alone as a sentence, must have a subject and a verb and has a complete idea
She spoke.
Dependent clause -- is not a complete sentence, must be attached to an independent clause to have a meaning (also known as a subordinate clause)
Because I'm a teenager, ....
Subject -- a person, animal, place, thing or concept that does the action. I like reading.
Verb -- expresses what the subject does
He plays basketball.
Object -- a person, animal, place, thing or concept that receives the action
He is reading a book.
Prepositional phrase -- a phrase that begins with a preposition(in, at, for, behind, until...) and modifies a word in the sentence.
He is doing his homework in his room.
独立子句——单独作为一个句子，必须有主语和动词，并且有完整的思想
从属句——不是一个完整的句子，必须附加在一个独立从句上才有意义
主语——做动作的人、动物、地点、事物或概念。
动词——表达主语的行为
宾语——接受动作的人、动物、地方、事物或概念
介词短语——以介词(in, at, for, behind, until…)开头的短语，用来修饰句子中的某个单词。

-new sentences begin with a capital letter
-sentences end with a punctuation
-a sentence can only have one subject
-a sentence must contain a verb
-新句子以大写字母开头
-句子以标点符号结尾
-一个句子只能有一个主语
-一个句子必须包含一个动词

-simple sentence
-compound sentence
-complex sentence
-compound-complex sentence-must follow subject + verb + object word order
