今天回顾了昨天学习的形容词和副词,并且学习了比较级和最高级的用法。
To describe someone or something we use an adjective.
描述一个人或物的时候我们用形容词。
比如:Bob is tall.
When we comepare two things, we use the comparative form of an adjective.
当我们对两个物体做比较的时候我们用形容词的比较级形式
比如:Joe is taller than Bob.
When we compare three or more things, we use the superlative form of the adjective.
当我们对比三个或以上的物体时,我们用形容词最高级的形式。
比如:Tom is the tallest of all the students.
In most cases, we can make a comparative form of a one-syllable adjective by adding er.
在大多数时间,比较级的形式是在形容词后面加上"er"
比如:tall+er - taller
In most cases, we can make the superlative form of a one-syllable adjective by adding est.
在大多数时间,最高级的形式是在形容词后面加上"est"
比如:tall+est – the tallest
If the one-syllable adjective ends with e, just add r or st.
如果这是一个单音节的形容词且以字母“e”结尾,只要加“r”或者“st”
比如:wide, wider, the widest
If the one-syllable word ends with a vowel and a consonant, double the consonant and add er or est.
如果这是一个单音节的形容词且以一个元音和一个辅音结尾,需要双写元音加“er”或“est”
比如:big, bigger, biggest
If the adjective has two syllables, we can usually make comparisons by using the words more and most.
如果这个形容词有两个音节,我们通常会在前面用“more”或“most”
比如: boring, more boring, the most boring
If a two-syllable adjective ends in a y, change the y to an i and add er or est.
如果一个双音节的形容词以y结尾,需要去掉“y”用“i”代替并加上“er”或“est”
比如: ugly, uglier, ugliest
If an adjective has three or more syllables, just use more and the most.
如果这个形容词有三个或以上音节,我们通常会在前面用“more”或“most”
比如: interesting, more interesting, the most interesting
Some adjectives are irregular and don’t follow any rules. Two of the most important are:
有一些形容词比较特殊不按照上述规则。其中有两个是非常重要且常见的。
