English Diary of October 27, 2025

It's 8:50 PM now, which is quite late. I'll go to bed in ten minutes, but first, I need to finish my free speaking practice and write today's English diary—just like I do every day when I hold my recorder. Let me review my whole day.

This morning, I woke up and spent some time with my wife and eldest son. We got up, cleaned up by ourselves, and then headed out. My wife went to her company, my eldest son went to school, and I had to visit a customer. One of my customers was having trouble with our controller; they couldn't fix it on their own, so I needed to go there to check what was wrong and resolve the issue.

The customer's place wasn't too far from my home. First, I drove my wife to her company. After dropping her off, I went straight to the customer's location. When I arrived, the client hadn't gotten there yet, so I chatted with them for a while. They mentioned that the egg market has been tough lately—they haven't made any money, even though they've put in a lot of effort and money. I told them I haven't earned much either, but the market always has ups and downs. I advised them to keep going, stick to their routine of "feeding the high to get eggs," and trust the market. Even though I don't study economics, I know this is how value works: the value of eggs will go up in the future, so they shouldn't worry about the current low.

Later, I checked the controller and found the PCB was faulty—there was a connection issue. It might have happened when the PCB was delivered to them, as someone might have messed up the connection. So, I replaced it with a new one, and after testing, everything worked fine. While I was there, I also showed the customers how to use the controller, introduced its features, and compared it with other controllers.

After finishing up with that customer, I thought I could go home, but Claire invited me to have lunch together. We ate beef stew at a restaurant. After lunch, we went to another client's place—it was a small farm, simpler to handle than the previous one. We did some tests there, and I also demonstrated our controller to this new customer.

Once that was done, I drove back home. On the way, I planned to pick up my eldest son from school, but I was two minutes late. He had already walked out of school and was on his way home. Luckily, I met him on the road, so I picked him up and we went home together.

When we got home, I asked my son what he wanted for dinner. He said he didn't want potatoes, tomatoes, or eggs—he just wanted rice. I agreed, so I cooked rice first. Then I bought two tomatoes and some bacon, washed the tomatoes, took five eggs from the fridge, mixed the eggs, and cooked tomato and egg stir-fry. By the time the dish was ready, the rice was also cooked, and we had dinner together.

During dinner, my wife called. She told me her company was having a dinner party that night, so she wouldn't come home for dinner and would eat with her colleagues instead. After dinner, my son did his homework, and I cleaned up the dishes while drinking warm water.

Now, I'm doing my free speaking practice. After this, I'll write this English diary, read some books, and then go to bed. Today, most of my time was spent on work, so I didn't have much time to study or read. But I'm glad I didn't forget my daily free speaking practice and English learning.

Good night!
