- WY went through a turbulent year. Her thesis failed, and she’s been having tough times at work. I know it’s too hard for her, and I can tell that she tried not to let her negativity undermine my motivation. Things are not perfect, but I appreciate her efforts.
- My mom told me that she went to work at times when she really doesn’t feel like to because she wants to keep herself updated with the latest industry trends. So she can give me more life lessons and advice. Very nice!
- My dad had an eventful year. He lost his job in office politics. And he still hasn’t got a job. It’s comforting that he seems to handle it very well.
- My dog Sisi is a cute little fluffy adorable thing.
- My roommates WHY and SHH for leaving me a spacious dorm.
- My labmates HMJ, CB, XH, DXP, WJH, YS, ZQ, etc., for making my research experience more fun.
- My supervisor has been very kind and provided enough funds for my research.
- AJZ gave me precious advice on WY’s thesis and my project.
- YMY gave me advice and mentorship in the speech contest. LL accompanied me in the speech contest.
- Ali, Tim, and Luke, though I’ve met neither of you. But I benefit a lot from your online content.
- Victoria Ledford, CEO of the Roam Research. After reading my application letter, she kindly waived my yearly subscription fee.
