他是谁?
He grew up in an Austrian town.
His father was a wool merchant and 40 years older than him.
When he was about four years old, his family relocated to Vienna in which he spent most of his time to live and study medicine.
After he earned his medical degree, he decided to put more effort into neurological research.
In 1882, he was trained to be a clinical assistant under the guidance of a psychiatrist in the General Hospital in Vienna.
During his therapy, he often encouraged patients to talk freely about their early life and the relationship between their parents in order to find the cause of mental symptoms.
With his experience in dealing with patients suffering from various mental disorders, he developed a form of psychotherapy, known as talk therapy that helps psychiatric patients discuss his problems and unleash their emotions in a health way.
As a renowned and influential neurologist, he found that the unexpressed emotion inside of human beings could never fade away until they could release in ugly ways.
“Most people do not really want freedom, because freedom involves responsibility, and most people are frightened of responsibility,” he said.
His works give many significant reasons behind psychological problems and demonstrate the importance of sexuality in studying human mind and some abnormal human behaviors.
