“ …and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry to the word.” Act6:4
From the above scripture, we know that this was the attitude of the apostles devoting to prayer and ministry. And preaching the gospel means to do something for their office and their career. It is important thing in their life, which was the trust given unto them before the Lord ascended into heaven. No matter what happen, how the environment changes, how the business busy is, none of the apostles turned away from the trust entrusted to them. we need to remember that living for the Lord is most acceptable and has eternal value.
From the scripture of Act 6:4 of the new testament, it reminds me about my Christian sisters and brothers. In our church, many Christians are devout for the Lord’s trust. Their behaviors often made me moved. In their eyes, God’s working ranks the first forever. This month, a Christian brother want to resign because his boss was not glad when he often went to the church for doing the God’s working. He felt very guilty. So he decided to give up the job and seek for a new job without working overtime. After he attended some interviews, he found the outside world was not like his imagine. When he returned to the company for working, his boss gave him a special privilege and agreed him no work overtime on Wednesdays and Sundays. For the result, he was very excited. So long as we pay more attention to God’s working, he gave us more blessings.
During our daily life, when we face any difficulties, so long as we return in front of God to pray for our troubles, everything will have a light road. I have a good testimony to share with you. I like jogging. In this tomb-sweeping, I went jogging around the Huchuan man-made river. Suddenly, a young man caught up me and asked me adding his Wechat to make an appoint for jogging together. Frankly, I was shocked for his actions. In my heart, I asked God how to do. I also imagined that the man may be a people planned to save by God. After I told him about my mobile phone, I left quickly.
In the following two days, we went jogging together. I prayed for him to God. No matter how quality he was good or bad, so long as he could be saved by God, he certainly became a positive man. If I was not a Christian, I didn’t agree with him adding my WeChat friend. As a Christian, I have the preaching gospel mission. I tried to preach my belief to him. He was not distasteful and was interested in the Christ. When I gave him an invitation to attend our church, he also agreed. During our communication, I knew some negative experiences about him, so I also prayed for his life, working and mood.
On the way to the church on Easter day, I spoke more to him about the Lord’s rules. He could receive the Lord’s truth. After he arrived at the church, some old Christians gave him many communications. Our church has many positive energies due to God’s love. He stayed with us on whole day. I planned that I would leave after the sermon of the morning due to my working task, but that day was Easter and Daisy teacher would stay until the sermon of afternoon. I changed my plan and attended the activity of the afternoon. The pastor showed us a movie about Jesus’s death and resurrection. After the movie ended, Pastor gave an altar invitation and confirmed whether there were the visitors wanting to be Christians, Anlin handed up his hand. His behaviors made us very shocked and moved. I cried deeply in front of God. Thank God for hearing my prayers...
