First of all, I just want to say that I do agree with this statement because as we are aware, nothing is permanent in this world except change. Just like the river, you may take a look or even take a photo but if you think that you can have exactly the same view again tomorrow even at the same time, I bet you won't. Everything is constantly changing, so do not use the present to judge a person and a situation. Just like the river doesn't stop moving, people never stop changing, even the worst person you will meet today can be the best tomorrow, even the hardest situation that you face today can be the easiest tomorrow.

Yes, it's okay to look back, to learn from our experience but the most important thing is to move on, embrace the change so we may deliver the best result the people are expecting from us. One thing which we can apply this statement is when dealing with clients. Of course you may say to your colleague, "are you stupid? why are you going to change your ways, we used that for several times and we haven't meet any problems yet" but have you considered the latest information and what they really need? Will you change your ways to provide a better solution for your clients or stick to your old ways then gradually lose your clients? They are changing and if you don't do something to keep up with them,  you will be left behind. If we do the same things over and over again, we get tired, we get bored and we lose hope. Embrace change so that you when you step into that river tomorrow, you will be better than yesterday and you will be stronger than what you used to be.
