Summary
The section I read this week mainly focuses on what Haw has learned since he started looking for cheese.
When he ran through the maze, he realized his belief had changed. He didn’t think that change is not right. He now believes that your reaction to the change depends on what you choose to believe. And the new belief leads him to behave in a new way. So he wrote on the wall: “Old Beliefs Do Not Lead You To The New Cheese.” “When You See That You Can Find New Cheese, You Change Course.”
Story
There is a sentence in the article that left a deep impression on me: The fear you let build up in your mind is worse than the situation that actually exists.
For me, it’s so frequently that thinking more before I exactly start to do something. And my thought is pretty worse than the reality so that I don’t have courage to start. So this sentenceis a true reflection of my behavior. For example, when I want to make a presentation on behalf of our group, I always worry about whether I can do it well and I am afraid of the bad result. Ultimately, I didn’t even start. Actually, such behavior is really meaningless and helpless. And now I always try to change my mind and believe I can do it, not whether I can do it.
