As usual,a group of students of the nighteenth middle school in Kiamusze were about to go home after evening classes.They crowded into the school gate never thinking of the danger approaching them.Unexpectedly,here came a bus out of control.Having crashed two cars,it aimed at the students gathering at the school gate.All that was worth noticing,to be sure.Still,there was nothing very special in any of it,except injury,which,while always peculiar,does not necessarily bring the whole nation to tears or to attention.Why,then,the shock here?
Perhaps because the nation saw in this accident something more than a mechanical failure.Perhaps because people saw in it no failure at all,but rather something successful about humanity.After all,human nature won with kindness and courage.
Fortunately,of the only one acknowledged hero of the event is able to account for her behavior.Zhang Lili,a young female Chinese teacher,risked her own life when she threw herself under the bus to protect her students at that critical moment without hesitation.In an interview,someone asked if she was regretful for what she did,she answered firmly"I've never regretted.It's my instinct to do something like this.I am thirty years old now spending as many happy days with my parents.However,those children are too young and their lives just behan."In fact,noboby had to go under the bus.That what she did so is part of the reason this particular incident sticks in the mind.
Another significant factor for the emotional impact of the disaster is the response given by her as soon as Mrs Zhang waked up from the coma.According to a docter in the first affiliated hospital of Harbin Medical University,the first sentence out of Zhang's mouth was about it that if her students were right now,which touched everyone around her.It's a surprise that she not only accepted the fact of her high amputation in a short time but comforted her parents with some soft words.She said,"I was so lucky because if the wheels ran over my heads instead of legs,you wouldn't see me now.I managed to save my students and at the same time I am still alive .Based on this,I believe happiness will be with me all the time."In this sense,her selflessness was one reason the story held national attention;her optimism and adamancy another.For a while she was Everyman,and this proof that no one is ordinary.
Still,she could never have imagined such a capacity in herself.Only minutes before her character was tested,she was standing in front of the school gate among her many students,listening to boys and girls talking and laughing and recalling something about her class.Perhaps she prepared to listen to some light music,or to call with her family or to make a plan for the following weekend.Then all of a sudden she was aware of the truth that the evening would not be ordinary.
In reality,everyone in the world owns his infinite powers especially showing in a particular situation .The kind teacher has her own extraordinary powers.She could not make the bus brake .But she could hand life over to the students and that is a great power.She interprets the beauty and goodness of human with her practical action.There is no doubt that she is the most beautiful teacher also a great hero.
