Topic: Ball control (Using Outside foot control)
1. Warm up
Within a square area of 20 x 20m, every kid dribbled his own ball through the ending line and the have to go through the cones for 2 parallel side, and after started a passing and receiving session where 2 coaches were involved.
Technical drills
Content 1
Using an exercise of dribbling by writing letter 8, they started freely by using inside or outside or 1 or both feet, then the used only outside foot to control the ball through. The we ended competing each other by making more rounds with 1 minute of time.
Content 2
Using the above setting, every player was required to dribble and reach the center area then, control the ball with outside foot and make a turnover then passing the ball back to your own group mate, but look for other new goal and there the kids should pay attention of not passing the 2 balls in one goal at the same time The players try to increase the speed and accuracy of each movement and the try to keep their head up
This exercise is working not only on improving their technical skills, but also it works on the cognitive and mental skills needed in a really soccer game.
2. Match
They played 3 v 3 using 2 different pitches, the were playing freely and ball control with some limited passed were observed. And the kids enjoyed the game.
