练习材料：Dentists always ask questions when it is impossible for you to answer. My dentist had just pulled out one of my teeth and had told me to rest for a while. I tried to say something, but my mouth was full of cotton-wool. He knew I collected match boxes and asked me whether my collection was growing. He then asked me how my brother was and whether I liked my new job in London. In answer to these questions I either nodded or made strange noises. Meanwhile, my tongue was busy searching out the hole where the tooth had been. I suddenly felt very worried, but could not say anything. When the dentist at last removed the cotton-wool from my mouth, I was able to tell him that he had pulled out the wrong tooth.

练习感悟：
今天看到一个从化学专业考研跨考北外高翻的学姐，发现成功真的没有偶然，只有必然。她大一就开始接触翻译了，期间用了三年备考，成为他们学校第一个考上北外高翻的人。她从笔译，口译，外刊，散文，单词等等方面都下足了功夫，每天至少雷打不动的两个小时做复述，还有无数的笔记，都是下死功夫学来的。
想起s之前在直播上，说抄书，听课把老师讲的东西记下来做成文章的形式，这些其实看上去都很死板，很浪费时间的事情，其实才是打基础最重要的步骤，就是要一字一句，一点一点的抠细节，一步一步的走踏实，千万不能囫囵吞枣，或者心里有浮躁傲慢之气，这种心态最害人，时间花了只是还没学成。不要怕下死功夫。
记得高中的时候，班主任是物理老师，最讨厌那种上课笔记全写不动脑筋的人，搞得班上的学生连记笔记都要看老师的眼色，生怕自己记了一些无关紧要的东西，那时候我就很怕自己把笔记写的很多，一是怕那些聪明不记笔记的男同学嘲笑，说我记那么多东西没用还考不好，二是怕老师说自己愚笨。所以，经常导致自己用强记的方式去记知识点，假装自己不用记太多笔记也能学好。这种习惯持续到大学，现在终于有人告诉我说，最笨的方法其实是最高效的方法，让自己不再迷茫，而是大胆的去做一个别人眼中的笨人，一步一步的踩踏实，把基础打好，才能建更高的楼层。
