Nowadays,it is not race for teachers to complain that their students are indifferent towards classmates.Some are even worried that the young generation might become too selfish to shoulder the responsibility for the future of China.As is shown in the caricature,a great many young students are sitting comfortably on a bus while a senior citizens is standing helplessly.All of those students deemed that they were much more tired than the poor aged man,due to their large amount of homework.
From my direct observations as a university student,I must admit that we young people today are in general more self-centered and unsympathetic than previous generations.To start with,many,if not most,young people choose to attend exclusively to their own needs.In their eyes,it is all too natural to seek satisfaction from what they do,even if it may cause inconveniences to others.Moreover,our young people tend to be insensitive to others' difficulties.Instead of offering help,they regard them as none of their business.
For the above reasons,I subscribe to the idea that today's young people in China are more selfish and hard-hearted than previous generations.It is high time that we learned from older generations so that a harmonious and splendid future for us all can be anticipated.
如今，经常可以听到老师们抱怨他们的学生对同学漠不关心。有些老师甚至担心年轻一代可能变得太自私而无法担负他们对中国未来应有的责任。如图所示，很多年轻学生舒适地坐在一辆公交车上，而一位老人则无助地站着。由于有大量的家庭作业，那些学生都认为自己比老人累多了。
作为一名大学生，据我的直接观察，我必须承认如今的年轻人总体上比我们的上一代更加以自我为中心和冷漠无情。首先，很多（即使不是大多数）年轻人选择只关注自己的需求。在他们眼中，满足自己的需求天经地义，即使给他人造成不便也在所不惜。此外，我们年轻人容易对他人的困难视而不见，很少有人主动提供帮助，相反，他们认为那和自己无关。
从上述论证中，我必须承认今天中国的年轻人比我们之前的几代人更加自私和铁石心肠。我们应该从老一辈的身上学习，这样我们才能拥有一个和谐灿烂的未来。
