What's the accomplishments you are proud of in your daily work ?
It should be the IKEA project in 2012. As we know IKEA never do business with trading company but with factory directly. However, IKEA find us as a trader to develop a new business cooperation powertools. But the first priority is we need to find a qualified factory which could pass IWAY(This the the quality standard IKEA made for all vendors ). If we are successful then it will be the biggest project we ever get since last three years. However, there are two main difficulties :
One is time. Normally, a factory will need at least one-year for preparation but we only have 4 months
Another is cost. It cost around 1 million RMB for the early-stage preparation including facilities, labor cost and managment cost.
If the factoryh is failed to pass IWAY then the money is gone with wind.
Firstly, we have a meeting with factory and let their top management know this is really a big opportunity for them. But
No pay no gain ! Both of us should look this as a long-term relationship. So it's valuable to contribute 1 million RMB
Secondly, we help factory to make an audit check list which save as much cost as it can be.
We also do lots of manoeuvres before official IWAY audit
Yes! Finally, we get a very high score on IWAY and I am proud of myself on this project.
