It is a great honour to take part in this activity, Helping teachers how to teach in the countryside, which is held by Henan Normal University. I am glad that I got so much knowledge and advice about English teaching. Alvin Toffler says, “The illiterate in the 21st century will not be those cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.” As an English teacher, I can't keep abreast of the developing situation unless I study harder.

    Thank Ms. Guo , Ms. Qin and Mr. Li for their wonderful talk. Ms. Guo gave us a talk about Professional Development of English Teachers. Ms. Guo is a kind, honest, hardworking teacher. She told us how to be a good teacher. The teacher should not only teach children knowledge but also make friends with them. Is the so-called close its division believe its way . She told us the idea according to her behavior.

     Ms. Qin is a beautiful and gentle lady. She taught us English Pronunciation & Intonation for Communication in detail. What’s the difference between American English and British English? Basic Concepts: Syllables, Stress & Rhythm. I find out the weak points of my pronunciation and intonation. I must pay attention to them and correct them from now on.

    Mr. Li is a knowledgeable and humorous man. He told us why there are so many differences between English and Chinese and how to get rid of Chinese pronunciation habit in English speaking. He asked a few teachers set examples. Or he showed us how to do it, and then we could follow him. We are happy to do it. The classroom was full of the sound of laughter.

    Thank Ms. Zhang for her hard work. It is happy to see her smile and hear her sweet voice every day. I admire Ms. Feng so much. I hope to get a book that be written by her.Thank you, my classmates. All of you are so excellent. I have learnt a lot from you. Thanks to the activity, I learn more about the art of classroom teaching.

    For example: Give children more chances to speak English. There are a few kinds of speaking activity, such as information gap, survey, discussion and role-play. We should find the right time and way to correct in speaking activities, not interrupting while they are going on, but giving feedback later.

    Children need to be able to scan a text, skim a text and read for detailed comprehension. They need to be engaged with what they are reading. They should be encouraged to respond to the content of a reading text, not just to the language. Prediction is a major factor in reading. When children study a text, the teacher had better use “mind map” to help them understand the passage better. What’s more, the “mind map” can also be good for the writing activity.

    As teachers, we should pay attention to every child, don’t give up each child. The knowledge we get children to do will depend on their age, interests and level. Interest is the best teacher. We can’t make them lose their interests in English learning. It is our duty.

    I hope that all of my children do well in English. I hope that all of my children love studying. I will work harder. There's no end for language learning. There's no end for English teaching. “It's never too old to learn.” The love of study is the greatest virtue of mankind .
