Well, I remember when I was young, my father would buy about ten cakes on Mid-Autumn Festival. The stuffing contained peanuts, melon seeds, orange peel, winter melon slices, sesame seeds, honey, white sugar, etc. At that time, it was basically just one kind of cake, but it was very delicious. Because they were generally poor at that time, even though Mid-Autumn Festival, there were still many people who could not eat cakes. We only tasted a little, mainly to make gifts at our grandparents' house. Then every family mainly made conical white cakes to symbolize the Mid-Autumn Festival. So we made white cakes in advance. On the day before the holiday, our sisters and our parents took some mooncakes bought from the street and some white cakes made by ourselves, a bag or two of sugar and a bottle or two of wine, and went to my grandparents' home to celebrate the holiday. I still miss the feeling and atmosphere of that time every year now.
