Ma Xiaoqiu:Inspiration on the I Ching
在刚刚结束的禅道商学院＂元丰计划＂课程上，院方给优秀学员颁发了一本《易经》，以兹鼓励和提高学员的向学之心。
At the just-concluded course of the“Yuanfeng Plan”at the Zen Tao Business School,the school awarded the excellent student the“Book of Changes”so as to encourage and enhance the student’s mind toward learning.
在此我怀着一颗学习的心态，来跟大家分享我对《易经》的一点初浅认识。
Here,with a learning attitude,I would like to share with you some of my initial understanding of the I Ching.
《易经》又名《周易》，为什么呢？在据说六千多年前的上古时代，中华人文始祖伏羲根据大自然的种种物象，用八卦把自然和人的关系表示出来，八卦代表人与自然的法则。大约三千多年之后，周朝的文王根据当时的社会现象和商纣王治理国家的弊端，又将八卦演为六十四卦。故《易经》又名《周易》。继周朝之后的，孔子作《易传》，先师把宇宙秩序和人生规律，更加紧密地连接起来，并強调了道德实践的重要性。于是在长达三千五百多年的时间里，三位圣人完成了这部千古不朽的辉煌之作！
The I Ching is also known as the Book of Changes.Why?In ancient times,it is said that over 6,000 years ago in ancient times,Fu Xi,a Chinese cultural ancestor,used the Gossip to express the relationship between the nature and the people based on various natural phenomena.Gossip represents the law of the nature and the human beings.About three thousand years later,the king Wen of the Zhou Dynasty,according to the social phenomenon of the time and the malpractice of Shang king Zhou to govern the country,turned the Gossip into sixty-four hexagrams.Therefore,the I Ching is also known as the Book of Changes.After the Zhou Dynasty,Confucius made Yi Zhuan to connect the cosmic order and the law of life more closely，and emphasized the importance of moral practice.So for more than 3,500 years,the three saints completed this eternal glory!
《易经》到底讲的是什么呢？八卦以及六十四卦又是什么意思呢？有人说《易经》是用来占卜、预测、相面、算命的；有人说《易经》是用来行医的，医易同源；还有人说《易经》是一部最古老最完美的哲学著作。更为神奇的是，在出土的远古印第安人的一个彩钵上，竟有《易经》的＂复卦＂；以致考古学家们不禁在内心发问，难道印第安人的祖先是中国人！？众所周知，微积分发明人之一的莱布尼兹从《易经》中获得启发，发明了一套＂二进制＂法则，成为了计算机语言的理论基础。不仅如此，生物学家又发现DNA脱氧核糖核酸的遗传密码不多不少，正好六十四个。这些密码破译之后，恰恰是一组完整的六十四卦的排列次序。这难道是巧合吗！？
What exactly does the Book of Changes talk about?What is the meaning of Gossip and sixty-four hexagrams?Some people say that the Book of Changes is used for divining,forecasting,face reading,and fortune-telling;some people say that the Book of Changes is used to practice medicine，the Book of Changes and medicine have the same root;Others also say that the Book of Changes is the oldest and most perfect Philosophical writings.What is even more amazing is that,on a color bowl of ancient unearthed Indians,there is a"Fu hexagram"of the"Book of Changes,"so that archaeologists could not help but question their minds.Is it that the ancestors of the Indians were Chinese!?It is well known that Leibniz,one of the inventors of differential and integral calculus,was inspired by the Book of Changes and invented a set of"binary"rules that became the theoretical basis of computer languages.Not only that,biologists also found that the genetic codes of DNA are exactly 64.After these codes were deciphered,it was precisely the complete sequence of the orders of the sixty-four hexagrams.Is this coincidence!?
综上所述，我只能惊叹！面对《易经》，我们凡夫俗子是多么的渺小和无知……《易经》乃天人合一之作，它是以德为本，它能令人趋吉避凶，它能精准定位，它能永续经营。
In summary,I can only marvel!In the face of the Book of Changes,how ordinary and ignorant we mortals are.The Book of Changes is a combination of the nature and humanity.It is based on virtue,and it can be used to the auspicious and to ward off the evil.It can be precisely positioned.It can operate forever.
