This chapter focused to portray people's reaction towards Lydia's death .
Her mother is desperately sad . She dare not to see the lake on their wat home , she do not prepare dinner for their family ,she can not sleep ,the only thing she can do is go to Lydia's room , even a deep ache suffuses her , it feels good ,too .She reminds how hardworking her daughter was ,yet she also finds all of the daries are blank , she knows nothing about her .
Her father , tries his best to control his feelings , lets his son to cool down , drives his families home . But after he read the autopsy ,he was crushed to his chair . He needs comfort .So he had a crazy sex with his secretary which his wife cannot give him .
Nath , her brother , firmly believes Lydia's death relates to Jack , so he corners him against a tree to demand an answer and goes to his house listen the talk between him and police . He wants to find out the evidence .

Lydia is dead . Her absent for breakfast made her families worried about her safety .So they called the police and was suggested to all her friends , they followed , yet they got nothing useful but found an amazing fact -Lydia has no real friends . Her brother Nath had already noticed that but he kept slience about it .
Lydia died because her monther wants to be different and her father wants to blend in. So they gave Lydia much pressure and that lead her to commit suicide .
