On the morning of May 24, 2025, the inauguration ceremony of Journal of Energy Infrastructure, sponsored by Chongqing University and globally distributed by KeAi, was grandly held. The journal is dedicated to the dissemination and promotion of scientific and technological achievements in the field of energy infrastructure, and is committed to creating an internationally influential academic exchange platform.

该刊由重庆大学周绪红教授与香港理工大学钟国辉教授共同担任主编。周绪红教授表示,能源基础设施是国家能源安全和绿色低碳发展的战略基石,期刊旨在响应国家能源发展战略需求,将秉持 “开放、包容、创新”的办刊理念,聚焦能源基础设施领域跨学科融合创新,打造跨学科、国际化、高水平的能源基础设施科技创新学术交流平台。
The journal is co-edited by Professor Zhou Xuhong of Chongqing University and Professor Zhong Guohui of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Professor Zhou Xuhong stated that energy infrastructure is the strategic cornerstone of national energy security and green low-carbon development. The journal aims to respond to the strategic needs of national energy development, adhere to the philosophy of "openness, inclusiveness, and innovation", center on interdisciplinary integration and innovation in the field of energy infrastructure, and build an interdisciplinary, international, and high-level academic exchange platform for energy infrastructure scientific and technological innovation.

5月24日下午,《能源基础设施(英文)》期刊首届编辑委员会正式成立,并召开了第一次会议。
The First Editorial Board Established, Charting a New Blueprint for International Journals in the Field of Energy Infrastructure. On the afternoon of May 24, the first editorial board of Journal of Energy Infrastructure was officially established, and its first meeting was convened.
会议由重庆大学杨庆山教授、周绪红教授分阶段主持,编委会主要围绕期刊未来的发展定位与方向等议题进行深入研讨。此次会议明确了期刊的核心发展方向,包括构建国际化协作网络,加速全球相关领域学术资源整合;强化期刊学术影响力,设置交叉领域重点栏目;协同打造国际性学术对话交流平台等,为期刊迈入国际化学术出版行列奠定了坚实基础。
The meeting was presided over by Professor Yang Qingshan and Professor Zhou Xuhong of Chongqing University in different stages. The editorial board mainly conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as the future development positioning and direction of the journal. This meeting clarified the core development directions of the journal, including establishing an international cooperation network to accelerate the integration of global academic resources in related fields; enhancing the academic influence of the journal by setting up key columns in interdisciplinary fields; and jointly creating an international academic dialogue and exchange platform, laying a solid foundation for the journal to enter the ranks of international academic publishing.
重庆大学图书馆馆长魏群义指出,期刊聚焦能源与电力基础设施领域前沿研究,依托学校一流学科优势,由周绪红教授、钟国辉教授担任主编并组建高水平的编委团队,是学校重点打造的国际化高水平学术期刊,希望编委专家发挥学术引领作用,推动期刊高质量快速发展。
Wei Qunyi, Director of the Library of Chongqing University, pointed out that the journal centers on cutting-edge research in the field of energy and power infrastructure. Relying on the advantages of the university's first-class disciplines, and with Professor Zhou Xuhong and Professor Zhong Guohui as editors-in-chief, a high-level editorial board team has been formed. This is an international high-level academic journal that the university focuses on building. Professor Zhou Xuhong, Editor-in-Chief of the journal, pointed out that currently, energy infrastructure is accelerating its transformation towards low-carbon, resilience, and intelligence, bringing new challenges and opportunities to scientific research innovation and engineering practice. In the face of this trend, there is an urgent need to deeply integrate multiple disciplines and promote the derivation of comprehensive solutions. Relying on the "Double First-Class" discipline construction group of Chongqing University, this journal integrates high-quality scientific research resources at home and abroad, striving to build a world-class academic platform, constructing a trinity connection bridge among academia, industry, and international cooperation, and further promoting knowledge dissemination, technology sharing, and the application and transformation of achievements.

Professor Zhong Guohui, Editor-in-Chief of the journal, emphasized that the innovation of energy infrastructure is the key to addressing the climate crisis. The journal will break down disciplinary barriers and build a cross-border collaborative innovation platform. He stated that the cooperation between The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Chongqing University in founding the journal is a deep integration of the advantageous resources of the two universities, as well as an organic combination of academic frontier exploration and engineering practice transformation. It is hoped that the journal will become a cradle for academic breakthroughs and a bridge for technological innovation, contributing to the future of global carbon neutrality and green energy.

Release of the Inaugural Report and Development Plan. During the journal overview report, Professor Wang Yuhang, Executive Editor-in-Chief, highlighted the journal's advantages in multidisciplinary research on energy system infrastructure. He stated that in the future, by integrating the resources of the sponsor, Chongqing University, in related fields and the international editorial board team, efforts will be made to build the journal into an international top-tier academic benchmark. The report briefly introduced the development background, research scope, composition of the editorial board, and future strategic development goals of the journal, proposing to jointly promote knowledge sharing and technological transformation in the global energy infrastructure field by constructing industry-university-research collaborative channels.
科爱公司出版人刘昊做新刊发展报告,详细梳理了Scopus、SCIE、EI等数据库准入条件,涵盖文章质量、伦理标准、编委团队、国际化占比等方面,并提出了相应的期刊发展规划和建议,从而更好地提升期刊未来发展的国际影响力。
Liu Hao, Publisher of KeAi, delivered a development report for the new journal, meticulously sorting out the access conditions of databases such as Scopus, SCIE, and EI, covering aspects such as article quality, ethical standards, editorial board team, and international proportion, and put forward corresponding development plans and suggestions for the journal, so as to better enhance the international influence of the journal's future development.
从定位到运营:编委共谋期刊发展大计
在期刊发展研讨环节,编委会成员围绕“如何办好期刊”这个主题展开多维建言,系统性阐述了期刊发展定位、国际化建设、编委效能、稿源拓展、稿件质量把控、组建青年编委组织网络、期刊宣传推广、优化审稿机制、全球学术资源整合等核心议题。与会专家将积极履行编委职责,凝聚共识、协同发力,共同推动期刊早日跻身国际一流学术期刊行列,使其成为具有广泛国际影响力与学术引领性的学术交流平台。
From Positioning to Operation: Editorial Board Members Discuss the Development of the Journal. During the journal development discussion session, members of the editorial board put forward multi-dimensional suggestions around the theme of "how to run the journal well", systematically elaborating on core issues such as the journal's development positioning, internationalization construction, effectiveness of the editorial board, expansion of manuscript sources, manuscript quality control, establishment of a network of young editorial board members, journal promotion, optimization of the peer-review mechanism, and integration of global academic resources. The participating experts will actively fulfill their responsibilities as editorial board members, reach a consensus, and work together to jointly promote the journal to join the ranks of international first-class academic journals at an early date, making it an academic exchange platform with extensive international influence and academic leadership.
