We met up with a group of friends at theparking lot, and by then I was already stunned by the dreamy meadows dappledwith flowers, the crystal-clear sapphire sky and the shimmering autumn water in this place.
My friend and I walked up a long dock-like bridge that extended to a hill-island in the lake. She talked to me about her graduating plans, while I listened and snapped photos of lotus leaves floating on water, or herons and falcons gliding over the blue water, or anchor woods that stood resolutely against the mountains at far. At the end of the road, next to a country house with outside railings and staircase, we were surprised to see multiple pickup trucks that parked there, not the kind you would see tourists coming in with, but those seen in a mechanic shop - old and rugged.
Who would be living in a small lake house with so many old-time land vehicles but not one boat? We left the mystery unresolved and headed back for some canoeing. Two boats went in water with us four girls, or to be exact we hand carried our boats to the wharf and put them in water before we jumped in. Listening to music on our phones, we either muscle paddled to race with each other or just laid back letting the boats drift with the tide. Occasional motor-boats swooshed round of excited screams.
