1. outrageous--
1)very shocking or unreasonable
E.g. ‘She blames me for causing her father’s death.’ ‘But that’s outrageous!’
2 )extremely unusual and likely to shock people or make them laugh
E.g. outrageous clothes/behaviour
2. pose a threat to, give importance to, cause damage to, have a beneficial effect on, play a vital role in 这些短语的最后一个词都是介词,一般加名词比较多,很少加动名词,加动词肯定错。
错误的例子:Education has a beneficial effect on finding good jobs.
改正:education has a beneficial effect on one’s job prospect.
3. 人没有难易之分, people are easy 或者people are difficult to …都是错的
E.g. 1错误的例子:people without computer literacy are hard to seek employment
改正:It is difficult for people without computer literacy to find employment
E.g. 2错误的例子:people with computer skills can be easy to find jobs.
改正:people with computer skills can find jobs easily.
4. lead to, result in 后面只能加名词,不能加动词,动名词也很少见。
错误的例子:Poor education can lead to children behave badly (这是个句子).
改正: Poor education can lead to behavioural problems.
5. It's helpful in doing Sth.
E.g. Education is helpful in improving young people’s job prospect.
