翻新版的电影改编的好“喧嚣华丽”,我还是喜欢那个琐碎的、有点喋喋不休的小个子(顶着一颗鸡蛋形状的头溜达来溜达去)。
阿婆的语言风格就是很适合怀旧的。一半是故事本身所带有的追忆情怀,一半是怀念自己初看这些小说的那个年纪。题外话:阿婆的书还挺适合做初级英语读物的,句子结构不复杂,没什么生僻词,故事又有趣。
即便早就知道案件的来龙去脉,重看波罗系列也是很有意思的,可以把注意力放在那些鸡零狗碎的细节上:
"Hercule Poirot addressed himself to the task of keeping his moustaches out of the soup.
That difficult task accomplished, he glanced around him whilst waiting for the next course."
