The most important thing in your life is to live your life with integrity and not to give into the peer presure to try to be something that you are not, to live your life as an honest and compassionate person, to contribute in some way. Ellen DeGeneres
She is a famous comedian, an actress and a wife of a women as well as a philanthropist. She is Ellen Degeneres.
I don't remember the time when I firstly watched the Ellen Show. I have no idea about this women, but I think she has a special ability to light everybody in the studio and tickle them. Maybe because she is a comedian and that's a piece of cake for her.
Compared with comedian show I am familiar with , I like this kind of show because they can make fun of everthing and everybody and the audience laugh from the bottom of the heart. You can feel that. I was appealled by this show.
Gradually, I did some research about the host and knew some personal infromation. She graduated from Atlanta High School in May 1976, after completing her first years of high school in Metairie, Louisiana. She moved back to New Orleans to attend the university of new orleans, where she majored in communication studies.
After one semester, she left school to do clerical work in a law firm with a cousin, Laura Gillen. Her early jobs included working at J.C.Penney, and being a waitress at TGI friday's and another restaurant, a house painter, a hostess, and a bartender. She relates much of her childhood and career experiences in her comedic work.
But the most shocking one is her experience after she came out. She is a so brave woman coming out when she was best known by her comedy and would have a promising future.
Speaking out that she is a lesibian in public broke her carreer and since that time she went through the dark days for years. Even though open mind like Americans, they still could't accept homesexuals at that time.
That was a traditional and conservative society but still there were so many people stood out bravely for their rights: they had rights to choose their lover whether they are heterosexuality or homosexuality.
People need to find a way to express their mind and confront for their basic rights so parade is so popular in western country. Because of that, they finally made it and same-sex marriage is legal in California.
Maybe I don't introduce her completely and you still don't know her experience and her comedy. I believe the speech at Tulane will give you a more
