跟读内容：今天跟读的是C12 Test4 Par4的第20句-第28句

1、Some recent interdisciplinary research has come out with results that at first sight seem contradictory - a city needs to have a sense of activity,so it needs to be lively, with sounds like the clack of high heels on a pavement or the hiss of a coffee machine, but these mustn't be too intrusive, because at the same time we need to be able to relax. （C12 Test4 Par4第24句）
这句话很长，我跟读这句话就话了差不多20多分钟。其中有几个生词和一个短语，需要注意。
第一个就是interdisciplinary，这个单词我听了好多遍，都听成in the disciplinary, 因为我脑子里面根本没有interdisciplinary这个词，所以只能靠自己脑补，所以跟读这么久我一个重要的发现是，想要进一步提升英语听说能力，词汇量的提升是必须的。这个interdisciplinary的意思是跨学科的，目前很火的一个词汇。
第二个就是at first sight, 这个短语，意思应该是第一眼，或者咋一看，与at first glance 一样的意思。不过我查了一下，如果想表达一见钟情，最好还是用at first sight. 比如They fell in love at first sight.
第三个就是两个声音词，一个是clack，相当于汉语中的咔哒 咔哒，在这句话中描述高跟鞋走在水泥路上的声音，另一个就是hiss，嘶嘶声，这里描述咖啡机研磨咖啡的时候发出的声音。
第四个就是intrusive，这个单词我也是第一次听到看到，但是因为知道intrude这个单词，所以大概可以猜出来，类似于富有侵略性这样的意思，后来查了一下，就是侵入的，闯入的，烦扰的意思
2、What's needed is for noise in cities to be regarded as an aesthetic quality, as something that has the qualities of an art form.（C12 Test4 Par4第28句）
今天跟读最费劲的就是这句话，听起来好像单词都认识，但是根本不懂在说什么。即使看了句子原文，也是似懂非懂的。
这里的aesthetic是美学的，aesthetic quality应该是美学特征，美学特性的意思
而the qualities of an art form, 一种艺术形式的特性或特征。
这句话的完整意思，是不是说，就像某种艺术形式具有的一些特征一样，噪声其实也应该被当作城市的一种美学特性，而不是需要被嫌弃或消除的东西。
