resume
A resume is a summary of your background, skills, and qualifications.
You should send a company your resume if you're interested in a position.
Tell me about your technical skills.
As you can see from my resume, I have strong working knowledge of Excel and Oracle.
cover letter
A cover letter is a letter that explains your interest in a job position.
You can send a cover letter with your resume when you apply for a job.
You can start your cover letter like this:
I am writing to express my interest in the Software Engineer position at your company.
qualification
Your qualifications are the accomplishments or skills that make you qualified for a job.
They can include work experience, educational background, or even personal projects.
In your cover letter, show how your qualifications meet a job's requirements.
If you are writing a cover letter for a consulting job, you can say this:
Given my education and work experience, I believe I have the qualifications to work as a consultant at your company.
requirement
Requirements are the skills and experience necessary to do a job.
They can include job history, language skills, or computer skills.
Make sure you meet most of the job's requirements before applying for it.
If a job requires you to be proficient in English, you can write this in your cover letter:
I am fluent in both written and oral English.
I can meet the language requirements of the position.
reference
A reference is someone who can talk to an employer about your work experience.
References can include a former employer, a teacher, or even a friend.
You should choose someone who knows you well as a reference.
You should request permission before using someone as your reference.
You can ask them: Could I use you as a reference in my upcoming job search?
