Day 23

I canchoose my Thoughts
Louise and Robert Holden were out for a walk one day, following a nature trail near her home. Big old eucalyptus trees shaded them from the bright sun. They gottalking about the principle you can choose your thoughts.
“What exactly does this principle mean?” he asked Louise.
She said,“It means thoughts have no power other than what you give them.” Thoughts are just ideas – possibilities in consciousness – that are only big or powerful if we identify with them. “You are the only thinker in your mind, and you can choose if your thoughts are true or not.”
One of Robert’s favorite Louise Hay principles is:The only thing we are ever
dealing with is a thought, and a thought can be changed. Most of the time when we are in pain, it’s because we are responding to our thoughts about something. The pain is mind-made. It’s a sign that we are literally suffering from psychology. The way out of suffering is to make friends with your mind and remind yourself that you are the thinker of your thoughts. Happiness is only ever on thought way.
