如何写好一篇论文的引言（Introduction）？关于这个问题，IEEE在最近一期的Authors@IEEE Newsletter中，向我们提供了几条建议，贴到这里供各位参考：
- Structure your introduction like a funnel, moving from broad to narrow: start by identifying the broad area of a study, continue to a narrower focus on a literature review of your specific research area, and then to an even narrower focus on your specific research question.
（引言的结构就像漏斗一样，范围从大到小，从所有人都能理解的话题，逐步聚焦到你的具体研究问题，这就是“引”） - Clearly state your research question and why it’s important to the field.
（清晰阐明你的具体研究问题，并解释研究这个问题的必要性） - Include a comprehensive but concise literature review; provide enough information to establish a context for your work but avoid including studies that are only marginally relevant.
（引言中应当包含一小段简明的文献综述，可以认为是related work的一个高度精简的版本，主要用来帮助读者“定位”你的工作，理清与现有工作之间的联系和区别） - Briefly explain your method for approaching the problem and why you chose that method.
（简述你解决这个问题的大致思路，以及为什么会选择这条技术路线）
这四条，其实就对应引言中的前四个段落：
- 交代大背景，让读者逐步融入你的故事
- 在这个背景下，面临一个问题，它是如何重要，因此值得研究
- 前人已经做了一些尝试，但在某些方面存在不足
- 针对此，我们提了这样一种新的思路
