I arrived in Japan at last.
The railway is not that big but so complicated because of many of entries and extra gates and they are almost identical to each other.
For the first timers, it's really difficult to figure out the right way out. I was shocked because people always say what a small country Japan is.
But I understand the typical meaning of small-difficult. Therefore, I began to ask people for directions.
"Excuse me, do you have a minute?" "How can I get here?" I said pointing at the map on my phone. The man got confused and he repeated my words just to confirm perhaps and he said "Do you want me to take you there?" I'm not really sure if this was what he said because I didn't really catch it, I couldn't understand them well with their pronunciation. My teacher doesn't speak that way, I thought. I said thank you to him and tried to find another person who's working at the station. Like earlier I said "I want to go to this hotel but I'm lost and couldn't find the right way out". She just looked at me and spoke slowly. Finally after 30 minutes, we were able to understand each other.
Before I left for my hotel, I noticed one thing, in JP, the speak different languages that even themselves they cannot understand each other well under different situations.
We need to learn and understand the culture then maybe, it would be easier for us to communicate.
