1. Do you like reading?
It really depends on what I am reading. I don't enjoy my textbooks, but I do like reading the news and internet novel on my phone. I very rarely buy a newspaper or a book, because there is so much to read on the internet now.
2. What's your favorite kind of book?
Well, personally I love science fiction. It's fascinating considering what the future may bring. I like imaginative stories which make me think a lot. Such stories are very creative and help open our minds to all sorts of possibilities.
3. What was your favorite book when you were young?
I think a Chinese fairy tale book was my first favourite book. My grandmother bought it for me from the bookstore near her home and when I stayed with her, she read stories to me. She was a good storyteller and brought the stories to life.
4. Have you ever given someone a book as a gift?
Yes, I have. My mother is an avid reader, so each birthday I usually spend some time looking for suitable books that she will enjoy reading. Last year, I visited a famous bookstore in Nanjing and found some really gorgeous books on home decoration. She loves DIY and was delighted with my gifts.
