What a romantic book! In that kind of time , black and white had a line between each other that no one dare to cross it. But bad times make a good man , the 24 years old well educated young lady (even in others eye she is absolutely a loser) strated to ask a maid if she wanted to change? And that question was the trigger to be or not to be that would really a question. Of course the maid was shocked when she was asked like that but to be honest who don’t wanna to be someone in her lifetime ? Yes she did thought about to change many times but what is waiting for her maybe is jail or even death. But when answered the white she said “no ma ‘ma”, after hundred years they just get used to be quite to suffer all those unfair things without any complaint. They raised up all the white kids and then almost all of they act like their parents doing the same unfair things to the black again. They white kids didn’t show any grateful to their black mama. But there was one the Skeeter she was like suddenly woke up that she wanted to do something to help them out because she was really missing her Constantine. She could not accept that her old friend was suddenly left without saying goodbye to her. She regretted that she has never said thanks to Constantine, then she wanted to know what was they black thinking when they were treated like inferior to others. The history was at their side ,the civil war and all those white ladies’s hard times made the maids start to find a way to fight back , they could not keep quiet anymore. And the Skeeter was pushed by her parents(find a boyfriend and get married) and her League members too. So all of them fighted back to those white and made a historically ally. What a romantic book! They did something thing no one ever done.
