Chapter 16: Off to the Fair
At the night before goint to the Fair, everyone dreamt something strange. On the morning Mrs. Zuckerman decided to do something crazy, bathed Wilbur with buttermilk. Charlotte decided to go to the Fair with Wilbur and she asked Templeton to go with them, although the rat didn't want to go. They hid in the crate and the sheep asked Wilbur to struggle when Mr. Zuckerman was going to pull him in the crate, which would show his normality. The people went to the barn and looked at Wilbur. Avery was so mad that he pretended himself to be a pig. Mrs. Zuckerman looked at the radiant pig and said to her husband that the pig should be killed, that made Wilbur almost faint. Lurvy poured some water on Wilbur to stir him up and then the men were going to push him into the crate. Wilbur remembered what the sheep had said and tried to struggle. Mr. Zuckerman told the others that there was nothing wrong with the pig. They heaved the crate on the trunk, not noticed Charlotte and Templeton in the crate too.
