There is no Frigate like a Book
To take us Lands away
Nor any Coursers like a Page
Of prancing Poetry –
This Traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of Toll –
How frugal is the Chariot
That bears the Human Soul
没有任何一艘战舰能像书籍一样
带领我们去天地之外翱翔，
也没有任何一匹骏马欢腾奔跳
能像一页诗行——
最贫穷的人也能从这里通过
而不用缴纳任何费用，
这是多么廉价的坐骑，
他承载着人类的全部灵魂.
（没有任何一艘战舰能像书籍一样
让我们领略天地的奥妙，
也没有任何一匹骏马
能像一页诗行那样欢腾奔跳。
即使最贫穷的人从此通过
也不用缴纳任何费用，

《如果想起便是忘却》
If recollecting were forgetting,
Then I remember not.
And if forgetting,recollecting,
How near I had forgot.
And if to miss,were merry,
And if to mourn,were gay,
How very blithe the fingers
That gathered this,Today
如果想起就是遗忘，
那我情愿忘记，
如果忘记便是想起，
那我多么接近于遗忘。

如果遗忘便是想起，
那我多么接近于忘却。）
如果思念是甜蜜，
痛苦是快乐，
那我的手指将是多么的轻盈，
今天，我就采撷了这些。
