35/70 D007 Discovery of my walking

Although the warm breeze touches China at present, the season here is turning cold now. Walking here in this season can be regarded as walking in colors instead of just walking in green. Launceston has the cleanest air in the world, but I seldom walking here because it is convenient to go wherever you want to go by car. Traveling by car you save the time at the expense of enjoying the natural beauty. Seeing so many teammates posted their feelings and photos of their spring walkings in Jianshu, I think I should try to find something in my walking.

Today, I tried to go to my uni by walking. On the road, I found a kind of very beautiful tree alongside the road. In fact, I saw such tree every day in the car, but I did not check it closely. The tree was covered with bunches of round yellow flowers, which swaying in the breeze like a canopy of the tree. The sickle-shaped leaves dotted among the flowers.

The Wattle trees are harvest for the tannin in its bark. However, most Golden Wattle trees in Australia are grown simply to enjoy their attractive appearance and pleasing scent.

Consulting from the web, I get to know that this tree is called Golden Wattle, a typical plant in south-eastern Australia. It is said to be an understorey plant in eucalyptus forest, but some trees, in my eyes, are quite tall indeed.  Long seed pods will come after the blossom of the flowers. It only has a relatively short lifespan of 15 to 30 years, however, it is widely adored by its bright yellow, fragrant flowers. The Australians love it to such an extent that it is adopted as the national flower and the formal floral emblem of Australia. Its image even appears in the Australian Coat of Arms.

Thanks to the walking today.
