Today is Monday.
I started reading another book, Amelia Bedelia Road Trip. I guessed it must be another interesting story.
One day Amelia Bedelia's father went back home and told the family a good message that his boss had given him one week bonus vacation. When Amelia Bedelia asked him what his plan was, he answered, "How about we all go off to roam? " Amelia Bedelia misunderstood again and said,"We are going to Rome!" She felt so excited that she sang and danced in the room. When her dad realized her misunderstanding, he told her they just would roam near their home. He said,"Let's give Italy the boot." Amelia felt so disappointed and felt like giving him the boot.
Her mom cooked some Italian foods to make Amelia feel better and she told Amelia there was a lot to see in their backyard. Amelia cried out,"What kind of dorky vacation is that? We are not even leaving the backyard? " Her mom explained that backyard could mean nearby, which made Amelia felt better. She had never spent a whole week away from home, so she felt very excited and couldn't fall asleep. In the next morning she felt tired and really needed a vacation.
I did have the same experience as Amelia in my childhood.
