This was a merchant who sold pills that had been invented to quench thirst.

每周只需要吞服一颗药丸，就不会感到任何口渴的需要。 —

“Why are you selling those?” asked the little prince.

“你为什么要卖这些?” 小王子问道。 —

“Because they save a tremendous amount of time,” said the merchant. “Computations have been made by experts.

“因为它们可以节省大量时间，” 商人说道。”专家进行过计算。 —

With these pills, you save fifty-three minutes in every week.” “And what do I do with those fifty-three minutes?” “Anything you like.

用这些药丸，每周可以节省五十三分钟。” “那我可以用这五十三分钟做什么呢?” “任何你喜欢的事情。 —

..” “As for me,” said the little prince to himself, “if I had fifty-three minutes to spend as I liked, I should walk at my leisure toward a spring of fresh water.”
