Chapter 9

After Chen comes back, from morning to nightfall, he is considering how to do in next step, go, or not go? The truth is, he’d better not provoke that cold fellow. The problem may be solved totally therewith, thinking of this, he feels slightly relieved.

Putting on his own coat, he stands before the school gate with his bag, inside is the clothes Wang Jun gave. Where does Wang Jun live in? Yesterday, everything occurred too fast to notice and today morning, he always bowed his head and vomited upon leaving the lift, no more spirit to remember the route. It is the first time for Chen to appreciate house in the city , together with kitchen, bathroom, toilet, bedroom and sitting room. The house is trendy and great in Chen Su’s view, two bedrooms and two sitting rooms, electrical appliances are available, the furniture is completed, just lacking of popularity, spotless mostly like a sample of housing.

Wang Jun gives Chen the key and a bank card for daily cost. Password is so simple as 12345. However, Chen Su never uses bank card before and hears from it is easy to be stolen. Chen comes after four o’clock when he ends his lessons. Holding the key, from now, Chen regards himself as a city dweller. Fridge, TV, long dining-table, wing chair and a various of furniture, all are so fresh for Chen. Chen’s family can be regarded as the rich in his village. But it isn’t a small expense to afford three children be educated. And Chen’s family had also built the cement building two years ago. However, they don’t add new furniture. There are only old fitment and sacks of commissariat.

Chen Su calms down until he ends enjoyment for this void house half an hour later. There is nothing in this house! Firstly, no food! Nothing in fridge. No utensil in kitchen. It’s lucky on the ground floor, there is a booth selling pancake. He spends 0.5 RMB buying three packages to cover his two meals, eating with hot pickled mustard tuber, only considering being full not scientific nutrition.

From living here, Chen Su comes and backs between the house and the school. He is accustomed to the accommodation life, doesn’t have more hobbies, goes home directly. Although the house is big, Chen still likes to write homework on dinning table. There is only two weeks before mid-term examination. Chen wants to achieve a good score. It is ideal to get school scholarship if he can receive high marks for both mid and end term exams. That’s a honor. Chen Su, never being superior than others on study, wants to get a scholarship, which is his little dream. Now he has such good learning environment, why not devoting more efforts?

Door opens and Wang Jun comes in.
