Democracy originates from Greek, in a few words ,democracy is the rule of majority. If there are 10 pepole in a country, we can sit together and reach a agreement soon. If there are 100 or 1000, 100000,we can assemble and vote for few hours in a huge square.while, what will you do when the number becom million,billion at that time?
Therefore, LAOZI ever scripted a beautiful and ideal world ,as long as you make the country smaller and people fewer, where there is no wars and fights, each country can see each other and hear the crow and barking and the people will not learn outside and trade with each other. People there can help and feed themselves by hunting and farming. In this way , governing a conutry and the relationhips among the conutries will be pretty easy. Obviously, It is ideal and anti-trend. This set of society is ONLY preserved in primitive period.
It is acknowleged that China is a great power. There are more than 11 countries having over 100 million population.For these great countries, democracy is not the necesaary. way. many people care well-being than voting rights.and the ultimate purpose of the voting rights shoud be the good policy, regulation or action, not a person. when man become the center of the democracy, we will see great speechmaker when dream become the faith of absolutism, we will possibly see a stateman or golorious era.
Democracy and absolutism seems to be a twin You don't know which one is on the throne look at the news, FBI, White House and the opposite party, they questioned each other. Democracy spend much time on discussion and finding truth. we know the Rome is not buid by tongues.
There is no perefect running mechanism. No matter which system you choose. it is 50 to 50 risky. one is struggling to drive in diffirent direction ,the other may concern driving in backward or wrong way. What we should do is to find the most appropariate mechanisam to perform it, improve it.
