Last week we discussed the topic of happiness. The original words quoted in the textbook are: "The idea ‘happiness’ to be sure, will not sit still for easy definitions. "Happiness is in itself an abstract noun, so different People have different definitions and opinions. For example, in the eyes of the great Russian writer Tolstoy: "Happiness lies in not being evil, in for giving and in loving others." If Tolstoy's happiness is biased, then the ancient Greek philosopher Zenos view of happiness is an idealized statement: "The so-called happiness is to obey the universe and abide by the rational life as the priciple of human guidance."
So, what is happiness, the answer given by our group is: Happiness is a state of mind and is a sence of satisfaction. Of course, this view is not out of thin air. The former Soviet Union proletarian writer, socialist realism literature ,and the founder of the world literature hero Gorky understands happiness as "contentment".
Yes, the definition of happiness has been simplified a lot, because there are a lot of gorgeous qualifiers, because happiness itself is a simple feeling of self.
Then the question is coming again, how to get happiness? We chose to start from two aspects, one is satisfy and the other is grateful.
Learn to be satisfied:we often say that happiness consists in contentment which is not only a simple way to achieve happiness, but also it can open one's mind.
Learn to be grateful:we should be grateful when others help us;gratitude not only gives you a sense of How hard life is,but it also makes helping others feel worthwhile.
The above is our understanding and summary of happiness. There is no standard answer to the question of what happiness is and how to pursue it. The only thing we can do is to share our views so that we can have a reference in the definition and pursuit of happiness.
